The Story of Experience

The company's founder started learning the trade very early on, from his grandfather and father, who, although not butchers, started the family business in 1995. He spent practically his entire older childhood growing up with the business, getting acquainted with the challenges it brings. This work required great dedication, learning the craft, as well as detailed knowledge of meat processing processes, so, despite regular schooling in high school and later at university, he managed to fulfill all obligations and help his father in the business. Even then, he stood out for his skill in making top-quality products. As time went by, he noticed that he had the ability and desire to pass on his knowledge and train people who wanted to progress and learn from him.

After finishing high school in Kraljevo, he enrolled at the Faculty of Agriculture in Zemun (generation 2000/2001) and graduated at the age of 25 (2006/2007). Less than two months later, he started working in Igalo, Montenegro, leaving the small family production. This decision initially did not meet with his father's full understanding, who, as a parent dedicated to the family business, found it harder to accept his son's desire to advance in a larger industry to gain the experience necessary for independence, outside the framework of the family firm. Simply put, he strove for further professional development.

Although that period was extremely demanding, it brought him significant progress in terms of independence, knowledge, and initiative. He overcame the challenges and today sees that it was a crucial decision for the start of his career. There, he had the opportunity to work with five experienced technology engineers who did not spare him, for which he is grateful to them today.

After spending almost two years in Montenegro, he returned to Serbia, to his native Kraljevo, where he took over the position of production manager at the Meat Industry Kim-Ratina. He spent almost a year there, working as a manager, while continuing to help in the family business in the afternoon. After the closure of Meat Industry Kim-Ratina, he continued his professional path with his family. That path led him through Surčin, Jagodina, Mladenovac, back to Kraljevo, and finally to Sremska Mitrovica, where Mitros is located, one of the largest renovated meat industries, into which new technology was introduced in 2016.

There, he began collaborating with the Austrian owner, Johann Gierlinger (Gierlinger Holding), who is also a technologist. Employment followed after a direct invitation. During the conversation with the owner, he brought samples of products from his then-production in Adrani. The owner of Mitros was impressed by the products and told him then that he could learn a lot from him, that he was ready to share his knowledge, and expressed a desire for collaboration. He moved again with his family to Sremska Mitrovica.

The first year was challenging, perhaps the most difficult period, because he had to reconsider everything he had learned so far. Recognizing the superiority of Gierlinger's technology, he realized that he had to start 'from scratch', aware that Gierlinger possessed significantly greater knowledge and the desire to pass it on. After that began a period of intensive learning and development, which shaped him into the expert he is today. The experience gained through daily challenges and responsibilities in one of the largest industries ultimately proved valuable. In collaboration with the owner, an efficient, so-called 'Austrian' work system was successfully implemented in Serbia, and his knowledge was transferred to the employees. The goal was to adopt Gierlinger's technology, work system, and business philosophy in the context of Serbia, without the need to go abroad.

He stands out for his readiness to face production challenges, especially when launching new plants, his ability to see the bigger picture, take initiative, and effectively solve problems. He has gained experience in various situations, through projects implemented throughout the region (Albania, Kosovo, Serbia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Croatia, Hungary).
